I’m Cettina Xia, from Taizhou, China. I’m the founder of GDX AUTOMOTIVE SOURCING, a professional sourcing consultant (agent) in the automotive aftermarket that helps clients find reliable auto parts manufacturers in China for quality merchandise, and import to their countries.
Being a woman in automotive parts, society doesn’t immediately trust you. I’m used to having to work hard and earn that.
I’m proud to be a professional businesswoman working in a traditionally male industry, the automotive aftermarket.
Who am I?
I used to have kinds of labels on me, such as Chinese teacher, international flight attendant, receptionist, sales, and startup founder.
I was born in an ordinary rural area in China. When I was a child, my grandmother told me that, nobody in the world would sympathize with your poverty. And no one would solve it for you;
To get rid of poverty, you have to rely on your own efforts and hard work.
“Poverty is not terrible, but you are most afraid of no ambition.”
What I Have been Experienced?
After graduating from college, I am eager to see the world abroad.
In 2014, As my bachelor’s was in Chinese education, I went to a rural public school in Thailand to be a Chinese teacher.
With my diligence and hard work, I applied successfully to be a teacher at Bangkok International School.
In my spare time, I devoted myself to the charity affairs of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Thailand for two years.
At the age of 25, I expected to experience the most prosperous city in the world, so I applied for the Aupair program in New York, USA, to teach Chinese and take care of kids.
Life is full of unpredictable things, in that year, my grandfather was ill.
I gave up my life in America and went back to take care of my grandfather until his death.
At that moment, I realized that there are too many variables in our life, so don’t let yourself leave the world with regrets.
Later, I became an international flight attendant, hoping that I could experience fruitful cultures as much as possible.
I have flown to more than 30 cities and countries.
At the age of 27, I joined the unicorn company in the global UAV autopilot systems.
DJI Shenzhen headquarters and became the reception supervisor.
In DJI, I learned” The future of possible”
Being born in such a world with great changes.
We have to make constant adjustments to the changes of globalization.
My Sales Working Experience in a Leading Shock Absorber Manufacturer
For the purpose to take care of my family, I returned to my hometown where I was born and raised, Taizhou City of Zhejiang Province.
In order to keep me connecting with the world, I worked as an international sales in a shock absorber & Air suspension factory in Otc, 2019.
During one and a half years working, my new business development performance ranked first in that company.
And I also realized that my personal value has reached the ceiling in such a business mature private enterprise.
I quit my job in that company in March 2021.
April 2021. Startup My Automotive Sourcing & Purchasing Services.
I have learned the most important point in the cross-border integration of various industries in the past six years.
Life is full of magic to turn the impossible into the possible.
