THE JOURNEY BEGAN — APRIL 2021
Filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
An early record of my factory visits in China. A little rough around the edges, perhaps, but genuine in every frame.
No polished production. No perfect storytelling. Just real factory visits, real conversations, and the beginning of a journey built on curiosity, learning, and getting things done.
Not perfect. Just real. And that’s where it all began.
Finding a factory is easy. Knowing whether it is the right partner is not.
Quotation collection, cost comparison, commercial negotiation, order placement, and purchasing coordination.
Product matching, sample development, specification confirmation, and private-label manufacturing coordination.
Production progress monitoring, factory communication, delivery follow-up, and supplier issue resolution.
Quality requirement alignment, inspection coordination, defect follow-up, and corrective action tracking.
Shipment coordination, documentation follow-up, ongoing supplier management, and long-term China-side procurement support.

“Good sourcing is never just about getting the lowest price. It’s about making the right decisions, working with the right people, and taking responsibility for what happens next.
I built GDX because I believe overseas buyers deserve more than a contact in China. They deserve a partner who understands their business, protects their interests, and gets things done.”

- A Letter from the Founder
I didn’t come from a business family, have financial backing, or have a network of connections to open doors for me.
I grew up in a small rural town in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China. Like many people who start with little, I had to figure things out along the way — through curiosity, persistence, learning, and taking action.
I have always been someone who wants to understand how things work. I ask questions, explore new ideas, and keep learning. I believe in taking action rather than making promises, and in earning trust through what I do, not simply what I say.
My journey into the automotive aftermarket has given me a close understanding of both sides of international trade: the realities of China’s manufacturing industry and the challenges overseas buyers face when sourcing across borders.
I understand that finding a factory is only the beginning. Buyers have to navigate differences in communication, business practices, product specifications, quality expectations, production schedules, and accountability. Distance and cultural gaps can make even a straightforward purchasing decision more complicated — and small mistakes can turn into costly problems.
That is what inspired me to build GDX AUTO.
I didn’t want to create another purchasing agency that simply collects quotations and passes orders between buyers and factories. I wanted to build something more useful: an independent China-side partner that represents the buyer’s interests, understands the products, identifies the right manufacturing partners, manages sourcing risks, and stays involved when problems need to be solved.
To me, good sourcing is not about knowing the most factories or serving the largest number of customers. It is about knowing which suppliers are right for a particular business, understanding what makes a product commercially viable, and making sure that decisions are followed through with care and accountability.
I also know that building a business takes patience, resilience, and the ability to make difficult decisions. That is why I value long-term relationships over short-term transactions. I would rather work closely with a select group of serious partners and deliver meaningful value than grow a large customer base without the attention each relationship deserves.
Through GDX AUTO, my ambition is to help established automotive aftermarket distributors, importers, and private-label businesses build stronger, more dependable supply chains in China — with a partner who understands their commercial priorities and is genuinely invested in their success.
I may not have started with advantages, but I have always believed that expertise is built, trust is earned, and meaningful partnerships are created through consistent action.
That is the principle behind GDX. And it is the standard I intend to uphold.
